Instrument Sterilization

Sterilization is a process that destroys all kinds of microorganisms, such as viruses, bacteria, fungi and bacterial endospores. We follow advanced sterilization methods.

Our sterilization procedures include:

• Step 1 - Every instrument is cleaned under water.
• Step 2 - Instruments are dried to prevent corrosion.
• Step 3 - Each instrument is wrapped with polyfilm bags to facilitate instrument identification.
• Step 4 - Sterilization Autoclave is commonly used in clinical practice as it is simple to use and works under the principle of moist heat sterilization.

Types of Autoclave:

• Class B-type or positive pressure displacement
• Class S - type or negative pressure displacement
• Class N - type or laboratory bench autoclave

In our clinic we use positive pressure displacement type or Class B-type. This type of autoclave can generate steam within seconds and is considered the most advanced autoclave.

Glass bead sterilizer sanitizes small solid metal and glass equipment in 10-20 seconds by rapidly heating glass beads to 450°F.
